Day Of Action: Thirst for Justice National Day of Action on Access to Water in the OPT !Organised by Amnesty Ireland
When: SATURDAY 31 JULY, 13:30-16:00
Where: Dublin city centre
Why: Access to clean water is a basic human right, yet in the
- 180-200,000 West Bank Palestinians have no access to running water
- 90-95% of the only water resource in Gaza is unfit for human consumption
- 1/3 of available water lost through leakage
- 80% of groundwater is used by Israel
What: 12 volunteers needed to work in pairs
- One person with a tray of dirty-water bottles and offering them to the public
- One person getting petition signed once their attention has been gotten
