En commémoration du 62e anniversaire de la Nakba (''la Catastrophe'' en arabe), Tadamon! vous invite à un après-midi de rassemblement afin de vous mettre au fait de la Nakba palestinienne de 1948 et ses effets continus sur le peuple Palestinien.
Joignez-nous à l'intérieur d'une tente de réfugié simulée au parc Lafontaine pour une tasse de café ou de thé palestinien, en écoutant les histoires de Palestiniens qui ont vécu la Catastrophe de 1948, et qui sont encore affectés par les politiques israéliennes illégales d'expropriation de terre, de colonisation, d'occupation et d'apartheid. Lors de cet événement, vous serez également mis au courant du mouvement international de Boycott, Désinvestissement et Sanctions contre l'apartheid israélien dont l'objectif est de mettre fin à la Nakba palestinienne en cours.
De plus, à l'intérieur de la tente de réfugié simulée, nous vous présenterons une exposition de photos et des œuvres d'art symbolisant la Nakba, ainsi que des airs de musique traditionnelle joués au ''oud''.
L'événement aura lieu à proximité du coin nord-ouest du parc Lafontaine, coin avenue du Parc Lafontaine et rue Rachel est, accessible par la station de Métro Mont-Royal ou Sherbrooke.

Commemoration of the 62nd Anniversary of the Nakba
In commemoration of the 62nd anniversary of the Nakba (Arabic for “the catastrophe”), Tadamon! invites you to an afternoon gathering to learn about the Palestinian Nakba of 1948 and its continuing impact on the Palestinian people.
Join us in our simulated refugee tent in Parc Lafontaine for a cup of tea or coffee and listen to the stories of Palestinians who lived through the Catastrophe of 1948 and are still affected by Israel’s ongoing policies of illegal land expropriation, colonization, occupation and apartheid. Learn about the international movement for Boycott Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) against Israeli apartheid that aims to end the ongoing Nakba.
In the simulated refugee tent, we will also host an exhibition of photos and artwork depicting the Nakba, and feature the traditional music of the oud.
The event will take place at Park Lafontaine, corner Park Lafontaine avenue and Rachel East street, nearby the north-west corner of the park. Accessible by Metro station Mont-Royal or Sherbrooke
