Belfast:Fighting Folk: Fundraising gig to bring over a Palestinian football team

'Fighting Folk' is a new initiative, if not a new idea.
Basically, the thinking is to run a number of quality folk nights throughout the year with the proceeds going to people, groups and organisations that are actually fighting for something positive.
The first one will be in aid of the Anti-Racist World Cup attempt to bring a team of young Palestinians over from the West Bank to play in this years tournament.

It will take place in Gort Na Mona on Friday 28th May at 8pm.

Subject to intense racism from
Israel, this is a real chance to show these young people, their familes and their communities that West Belfast stands shoulder to shoulder with the West Bank and all of historic Palestine.
Entertainment on the night will be provided by two outstanding Irish folk artists who will be giving of their services for free!
